about

**NOT LAPSE, BUT A SIDE-PROJECT DARK AMBIENT RELEASE**

11 years before being known currently as Infinite Zero, producer of unknown origin "wyRm" spearheaded on a one-man black metal band called Yx-Art'ys. Only creating one album under the Yx-Art'ys name, wyRm decided even depressive black metal was too mainstream and went complete dark ambient/drone. That first release, nil 0.1, was a dark experiment in the realms of black metal, featuring torturous screams (courtesy of wyRm himself) and droning, depressing guitar drives. Interspersed throughout the album is constant ambient sections, reminiscent of later output under the Infinite Zero name, and lots of terrifying atmosphere. Though only producing dark ambient now, wyRm's venture into black metal is one disturbing work of music.

Now releasing music as Infinite Zero, wyRm's first ambient effort
"r i f t" is a strange anomaly of an album. Sampling various electronica passages from other songs and creating dark, intense atmospheres out of them, Infinite Zero approaches different sounds resembling the terrifying, hollow emptiness of the universe. These pieces show the empty, lonely side of space, the terrifying unexplored regions of the galaxy. "r i f t" is a monster of a dark ambient album, making the listener feel uneasy and unnerved by the unknown depths of the universe.

"r i f t" was originally released in September 2013, and recorded from December 2012 to February 2013. The original download was lost to cyberspace many years ago, and is now being rereleased from its original source.
